Interests
I guess it's my turn to tell you everything. It started here on March 26th, 2009. I was a student in university, and I guess that was my very last school day ever - I quitted for several reasons. A friend sent me the adress of her account, so I went ( :iconlanterne-bleue: ) and decided to start mine. I was an amateur artist and began to post whatever I drew. I saw many things here that gave me the will to improve and to work on graphic softwares. It lead me to release my first comic magazine in 2011, study photography, and finally got me my qualification in computer graphics and design.

So five years have passed since I settled here, hundreds of deviations posted, several comics made, and several conventions done. And it's not over yet.

Space Thorr flat colors by FG-Arcadia
Space Thorr flat colors
Colored version of Space Thorr - based on the Thorr I used in Esprit Vengeur. I tried to give an old-school effect with the colors of the suit, although I'm still unsatisfied with them. Choosing colors for "synthetic" materials is really difficult.

Presto Kid definitive by FG-Arcadia
Presto Kid definitive
This is my personal rendition of Presto Kid, a Western superhero created by Dick Ayers and Gardner Fox ( pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Presto_Kid )

Since it's now public domain, I twisted the character a bit to make him fit in the universe of my comic-book Dark Fates, which is about sorcery and fantasy.

I inked the pencil lines using only a brush pen <da:thumb id="400465679">. Now it's in colors with shading and lighting.

Jungle Trio sketch (update 2014) by FG-Arcadia
Jungle Trio sketch (update 2014)
When you talk about French comics, you hear the old same famous names such as Tintin, Astérix or Lanfeust. But let's not forget some long-living characters that spent most of their career on the newspapers' stands. They never made it to albums and are forgotten and ignored for that precise reason. In France, a comic has basically no existence if it's not a 48-page expensive album, so popular comics are left aside most of the time. Can't say it's always wrong.

So there are some Tarzan clones named Akim (short-haired) and Zembla (long-haired) that lived decades of adventures into cheap black and white pocket comic magazines.

Akim was created in Italy in 1950 by Roberto Renzi and Augusto Pedrazza. He's not technically a French comic character, although episodes were produced specifically for France for two decades. New episodes were stopped in 1986, but reprints are still going on today.

Zembla was also created by Augusto Pedrazza, for Marcel Navarro. Editions Lug wanted to have their own tarzanid in order to beat Akim's sales. So Zembla appeared in 1963 and lasted until the 1980s before going into reprints until 2000, when new episodes were created until the end of 2003. It's now reprinted into omnibus format by Hexagon Comics.

The two characters reappeared shortly during the 2010s. Akim shared a 4-page story with Spirit of Africa in Cap'tain Swing, and Zembla was briefly shown in Strangers Season Two #1.

Organic Comix reprinted the Akim/Spirit of Africa story, and that's what inspired me. Then, as I felt the drawing was a bit empty, I resurrected my own tarzanid, Die Letzte, who is now going to have her very first comic story. Check her profile: <da:thumb id="305064740">

UPDATE: black and white, no more crappy RGB.
