I've never quoted Sepultura before, what a shame!
So... Etwas neues? Maybe. I wake up everyday from ugly dreams and I try not to live them. But hey, it's not that easy, so better shape that clay in order to be creative.
So here I am now. Same ol' me. Same self-taught, ronin artist trying to get recognition and to shape his ideas. So far, so good, but I've got many ideas that could become something and - it's really difficult.
I have mentioned the comics I'm working on: Dark Fates, Le Temps Des Héros, The Devil You Know, The Everywhere League and Multiversel. But it doesn't seem to be enough. Dark Fates is published in Forgotten Generation and is the comic in which I do everything in 20-page episodes, whereas Le Temps Des Héros is a collective webcomic where I draw one page before giving the next to someone else, then they pass to someone else who's got an idea (could be anyone, including me), and so forth. I'm only writing The Devil You Know and The Everywhere League and currently looking for artists to draw them - if you're interested, just contact me! Multiversel is supposed to be collective at some point as it involves many characters from several authors. I started designing several international heroes not even knowing where I could use them - I started posting them here.
While playing Sonic Colours yesterday (I like to give useless details), it came to my mind once again that it would be fun doing a fancomic. I used to do some improvised strips while I was at the university (I did some Fighting American, Iron Man, Gambit and others - I think I have posted them in Scraps here). So not necessarily something long, but something easy to read on the Internet and involving characters known by a good amount of people. Not only would it please me but it could get me some recognition as well. People would be more attracted by a Sonic/Iron Man/Gondolier Noir/Spider-Man/whatever story than by some strange witchcraft comic done by an unknown French artist. Have to be realistic. And it could also be the only way to read my take on characters I could never own and that I read myself (I don't think I'll get hired by Archie/Marvel/DC). I know some others are like me, this idea is still floating. I don't know when I do it, I don't know with who I will do it, but I'll certainly do it.
And as always, I'm open to any suggestions.

I joined Mangadraft! (ENG+FR journal)
(ENG) My comicbook Dark Fates is now available as a webcomic at Mangadraft, and I will provide some extra content soon, such as my first artbook. Dark Fates is in French only now (does someone feel like translating?), and the pages are uploaded just the way they were published first, except for the all-new covers - that means no updates, no fixtures, it's 2009 again! The whole run is still available in print through Arcadia Graphic Studio socials (https://linktr.ee/ArcadiaGraphicStudio), with a new episode soon to be published. That said, I post 4 pages a week on Friday mornings. So here's the link: https://www.mangadraft.com/user/florian-r-guillon Enjoy!
Switching to Eclipse and consequences
Greetings, humans. It may have occurred to you that a handful of submissions to the Featured folder expired. Let me tell you why. We were all forced to switch to dA Eclipse around May 20th (can't remember the exact day, but you got it) or leave. As you can see, I've been staying here and I'm not leaving. That said, Eclipse has brought us a lot of changes, and I'm still getting used to them. Sadly, I noticed that I no longer receive anything admin-related in my notifications. Anything group-related must now be managed from the admin area from the group page itself. That's what I discovered tonight. So I saw that a bunch of submissions expired because dA never noticed me. What more can I say? I hope that this annoyance will be fixed soon. In the meantime, feel free to submit your expired submissions again, I'll check them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Where is my ol' dA gone?
I miss art trades. I miss the dynamism of my early years on deviantArt in particular.
